Author and speaker Mary Anne Radmacher is quoted to have said, “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice and the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.”
It’s estimated that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. With these numbers, the aforementioned quote speaks to the gritty, quiet climb of each woman who travels this road. It can be long, difficult. My grandmother went through four months of intense chemotherapy and over a year of the fight, and she possessed some low moments as she climbed her mountain. But she fought, and she won. Triumphantly. The insurmountable courage of these fighting ones beats the rough road when all is said and done.
If you have the pleasure of knowing a breast cancer survivor, honor her this month with our Think Pink Survivor Sash. Raise cancer awareness for the Think Pink campaign this October, and to get pumped for your local fundraisers or national racing event check out our Think Pink Baseball Cap for your group, and / or our Breast Cancer Awareness Rally Flag Balloon! Represent the Pink Ribbon for those you love in the times when they need you the most, and they will be all the more encouraged and supported.
Trekking the road, climbing the mountain starts now. Meet those you care about at the top, and the little voice that kept them trying won’t lead them astray.
